Self-Realisation Immersion: Hatha-Raja and Kriya Yoga for Truthful Freedom and Living Magic with Andrei Ram
26-30 September, Tsim Sha Tsui

About the Workshops
For the fourth year in a row Andrei Ram returns to Pure Yoga in a general request - to assist everyone's self-realisation process by leading a magical journey within the Self's depths. Throughout this immersion Andrei will be directing Hatha-Raja sessions specially designed to prepare the body-mind vehicle for the Kriya Yoga Practice.

Yoga Means Union; Absolute Union; The kind of self-realised truth of being One with the whole Universal existence.

Yoga practice achieves such Absolute Goal by developing the ability to settle the mind into complete silence, in order to realise the most essential manifestation of the Supreme Source. This inner communion activates One's Supra-Consciousness. The lifetime process of Self's Spiritual realisation requires devoted constant physical, energetic and mental purification.

The Hatha-Raja Yoga is the integral practice of the eight limbs of Yoga, which accelerates this multi-dimensional process of Self-purification. The Kriya Yoga is an ancient yoga method that integrates many yogic techniques designed to facilitate constant awareness of One's Supra-Consciousness and Unifying Self-Realisation.

All Andrei Ram's teachings are based on the traditional yoga linage.

Most of the sessions include at least 90 minutes of vinyasa-asana practice. Andrei Ram's classes are diverse, fun and equally deep. The vinyasa (sequencing) is based on Sri Dharma Mittra's Shiva Namaskara Vinyasa structure, which flows through a progression from the most preparatory basic poses to the surprisingly accessible most challenging asana variations. The last sessions on both Saturday and Sunday are dedicated exclusively to meditation - Kriya Yoga - practice.

All levels are welcome to all sessions. Please check below for a detailed description of each session.

Schedule & Tuition
Session I: The Body and Asana Consciousness
26 September (Wed)
7:30pm - 9:30pm

Practical introductory session that presents the Hatha-Yoga system as a preliminary vehicle for the practice of Kriya Yoga, the direct method towards Supreme Self-Realisation.
The physical body is the gateway to discovering the multi-dimensional self. The Hatha System uses the Asana vehicle to study and develop the body consciousness, which carries the immense imprints of the Self's eternal journey. In this first session the emphasis will be on the physical aspect of the asana (posture) practice, such as physical alignment, yoga anatomy, fundamentals of the asana system, and how to integrate these key principles to make the Asana an effective tool in the quest for self-realisation.

This session includes at least 90 minutes of vinyasa-asana practice.

Session II: The Breath. The vehicle for the Primal Manifestation of the Living Force - Prana
27 September (Thu)
7:30pm - 9:30pm

The physical body is built up upon an energetic structure conformed by 72,000 inner-channels (nadhis) from where the living force (prana) circulates in order to sustain physical life. The flow of prana through this network of inner channels moves deep self-content, manifested through sensations, emotions, feelings and thoughts, both conscious and unconscious. In this practical session, realise the main energy currents, energy centres and the principal pranic laws that structure the way human beings interact with the living force - whether to be affected by it or to gain full control over it. Discover the intricate configuration of the Self's integral multi-dimension - Body, Mind and Spirit.

This session includes at least 90 minutes of vinyasa-asana practice.

Session III: Mental Visualisation. Gaining Control over the Body's Energy Network
28 September (Fri)
7:30pm - 9:30pm

The Mind controls all processes of the human organism, from the most physical symptom to the most elaborate intellectual perception. The Emotion is the middle level manifestation between this body-mind network, and the breath is the bridge that connects it. Breath and Emotion are directly related. Through specific yogic breathing techniques, one is able to gain full control over the emotion. Through such emotional control, the Self regains autonomy over the mind and the physical state of one's body. This practical Hatha-Raja session develops mental awareness over the breath by offering specific breathing visualisation techniques, which facilitate self-relief over negative feelings and emotional wounds.

This session includes at least 90 minutes of vinyasa-asana practice.

Session IV: Purification Session
29 September (Sat)
10:00am - 12:00pm

An invaluable cleansing and detoxification programme created by Sri Yogi Dharma Mittra to help purify the mind, the physical body and the subtle astral body of toxic impurities. This practice includes rare ancient pranayama (breathing) and visualisation techniques, and a portion on jnana yoga (lecture on yogic knowledge). This session is particular attractive for students interested in expanding their realisation over the more subtle (psychic and esoteric) aspects of the Hatha-Raja practice.

This session includes some asana and lots of pranayama techniques.

Session V: Master Sadhana
29 September (Sat)
1:00pm - 3:00pm

This is a challenging, yet accessible, traditional Hatha-Raja practice based on Sri Dharma Mittra's advanced vinyasa series, Shiva Namaskara Vinyasa. In this class, the practitioner will be able to try and witness many advanced and rare asana variations. Personal attention and helpful hints are given throughout the session as Andrei directs and assists each practitioner according to their specific abilities and challenges.

This session includes at least 90 minutes of vinyasa-asana practice and a portion of yoga-nidra (yogic psychic relaxation).

Session VI: Kriya Yoga
29 September (Sat)
5:00pm - 7:00pm

The Spiritualised Intellect is the highest capacity of the human mind. Yoga Science recognises ignorance to be the main obstacle in the journey to Self-Realisation and ultimate liberation. This Jnana yoga session (yoga of knowledge) presents the integral perspective of the yoga science and practical Kriya Yoga techniques, which leads to develop these high mental abilities and Spiritual Self-Realisation.

This session includes lecture and meditation practice. It does not include vinyasa-asana practice.

Session VII: Self-healing Session
30 September (Sun)
10:00am - 12:00pm

This session is designed to promote integral purification (physical, energetic, emotional, intellectual and spiritual), without which could cause manifestation of physical disease. Throughout the session the practitioner is guided into specific prana (energy) visualisations, while integrating the practice of asana and kriya (yogic methods to achieve specific results). All of these promote the self-generated integral healing process. This class is particularly attractive for those facing health challenges and disease, and for people dedicated to or interested in fields such as medicine or alternative therapies.

This session includes some asana and many yogic kriya-cleansing techniques.

Session VIII: Master Sadhana
30 September (Sun)
1:00pm - 3:00pm

This is a challenging, yet accessible, traditional hatha-raja practice based on Sri Dharma Mittra's advanced vinyasa series, Shiva Namaskara Vinyasa. In this class the practitioner will be able to try and witness many advanced and rare asana variations. Personal attention and helpful hints are given throughout the session as Andrei directs and assists each practitioner according to their specific abilities and challenges.

This session includes at least 90 minutes of vinyasa-asana practice and a portion of yoga-nidra (yogic psychic relaxation).

Session IX: Kriya Yoga and Psychic Development
30 September (Sun)
5:00pm - 7:00pm

Deep within, the Self is already in a state of permanent Bliss. Realise the inner communion with the Supreme Source, from where one can achieve peace under any circumstance, ever-present inner joy, and permanent supra-consciousness. This session includes a lecture and meditation practice. It does not include any vinyasa-asana practice.

About Andrei Ram-Om
Andrei Ram-Om maintains the tradition of living the life of a Yogi, while living in the ordinary world. He has been ordained by Sri Dharma Mittra to continue passing the living Yoga practices and to share them with others worldwide.

From an early age Andrei had strong insights, visualisations and special experiences, which make him realised of the non-physical aspects of reality and divinity.

Many years of intense self-yoga practice and devoted dedication to serve his guru as full-time karma yogi led him to become the senior teacher at Dharma Yoga Center for many years.

Following the unifying dharma to promote coalition of all yoga styles, back to its universal nature: Union, Oness, Yoga; he has had the chance to collaborate with other traditional lineages, through organisations such as: "The Art Of Living Foundation" of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, "The Self-Realization Fellowship" of Paramahansa Yogananda, and some others.

With unwavering loyalty to the traditional yogi lineage, Andrei translates the ancient wisdom of the Yoga Science to the most contemporary way of living, offering effective tools from the mat practice to be useful in the "every day" living challenge. Andrei Ram travels the world leading yoga workshops, retreats and "Self-Realisation Immersion Courses".

Ram stands up daily to become an embodiment of dharma (righteous duty, that which upholds and supports) for the sake of Ultimate Liberation for all living beings in Divine communion.
