Radiance of the Heart with Janet Lau
16 September, Causeway Bay

| About the Workshop |
|---|
Remember how completely relaxed you felt after a yin yoga class? Or how your heart was touched the last time you went to a soothing music concert? Imagine combining a meditative yin session followed by a deep relaxation practice, all to the soothing chords of live harp music… imagine no more as we make this a reality in "Radiance of the Heart".
In this special 2-hour class, we will take care of our heart meridian in the yin session, while deep relaxation will allow us to completely let go of all tension. Every celestial strain of the harp will touch our hearts along the way.
This harp-accompanied yoga class is sponsored by the Hong Kong Harp Chamber. Space is limited, so reserve your mat today! |

About Janet Lau
Janet has a vast knowledge of yoga anatomy, technicalities, sequencing, meditation, and most importantly, mindfulness. She is the first certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga teacher in Southeast Asia. Her classes emphasise presence of mind, gaining joy from practice, and using your skills to minimise injuries. Teaching her students to honour their bodies, she also encourages her students to challenge their comfort zones in a healthy way. Janet's classes are fun, educational and inspiring for the body, heart, and mind. The intention of Janet's teaching is to allow her students to embrace life, knowing that everything we experience in our lives depends on our perceptions.
Janet teaches workshops for everyone from raw beginners to advanced practitioners. Besides teaching useful techniques in the asana practice, Janet offers workshops that transcend the mind from ignorance, transforming our emotions, and teaching us how to be happy with the way we are.
She has assisted Baron Baptiste and Paul Grilley at their teacher trainings, and her teachings are inspired by Baron Baptiste, Thich Nhat Hanh, Paul and Suzee Grilley, Frank Jude Boccio, Sarah Powers, David Swenson, and Stephen Thomas.
Besides teaching on the mat, Janet is actively seeking different ways to inspire her community - through her writing, by offering free meditation practice, and by looking for ways to spread the message of yoga. Without planning where yoga will take her, her
intention is to sow the seeds of mindfulness and love in the people around her.
About Lauyee Yeung - the Harpist
Described as "extremely musical", Lauyee has numerous performance experiences all over the world. She has just been awarded with distinction for her Master of Arts double degrees at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the University of London.
Lauyee started her musical journey at the age of 6 and was already giving regular public solo recitals by the age of 7. At 10 years old, she gained entry to the highly prestigious Attached Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing where she was awarded scholarships every year for her outstanding performance. She was also awarded a Financial Assistance Bursary by the Royal Academy of Music and a scholarship by the Musicians Benevolent Fund to support her post-graduate studies.

She was selected to give a solo recital in Amsterdam in June 2010 and to give several solo concerts in Switzerland, in London's St Martin-in-the-Fields, as well as for hospices and hospitals in the United Kingdom.
