| About Nealy Fischer |
|---|
Nealy began practising yoga during her first pregnancy in 2000. Pre-natal yoga helped her alleviate many of the usual pregnancy discomforts and empowered her in preparation for the marathon of labour. At the time, she was working as a personal trainer and fitness instructor in New York and her yoga practice helped balance her active lifestyle. After the birth of her second son, daily yoga and meditation became the therapy that helped heal her lower back pain. By removing the physical pain, Nealy was able to experience a greater freedom of the heart that brought more joy and happiness into her life, her home and her marriage. With the guidance and friendship of Patrick Creelman, Nealy began to contemplate how she could best serve and inspire others on this path.
She completed her teacher training in India under the guidance of Louisa Sear of Yoga Arts and has since travelled globally to study Anusara yoga with John Friend. John's wisdom and love continues to inspire her teaching and her life, and she is grateful for it all. She has done extensive pre-natal and post-natal study with Karen Prior, founder of Mamaste yoga, and has trained with Julie Tupler, founder of Maternal Fitness in New York. Nealy teaches with a passion that is fuelled by a deep desire to help people find joy, beauty and freedom in their lives. She's inspired and entertained each day by her 3 little yogis, and in between teaching she happily cares for her home. |
