Daniel comes to Pure Yoga from Vancouver, Canada where he grew up singing, acting and taking advantage of any opportunity to throw his body around the rainy soccer fields of the Vancouver area. As a result of his background in competitive sports, he learned to accept chronic pain as a daily part of his life. After almost a decade of living with chronic back and knee pain, a good friend introduced Daniel to Bikram Yoga. After one class he was hooked. He immediately felt a difference and after only a few classes, the pain he had experienced for so long began to subside. Even more profound than the physical benefits were the mental clarity and inner peace that he felt after each practice. Yoga had such a deep effect on his life that he decided to become a teacher to help others empower and heal themselves. Daniel completed the Bikram Yoga teacher training in fall 2003 and has been teaching ever since. His advice to anyone curious about yoga is to simply try a class before writing it off as something you can't do.
