Class description:A non-vinyasa based asana practice in a heated room focused on connecting the body and mind. Some asanas are held for longer periods of time with the purpose of building endurance. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. The heat adds to the physical effort required to do the postures and aids to condition the body. This class is suitable for students with physical endurance and some yoga experience. No full inversions are included in these classes. Some preparations for inversions and Level 2 postures may be introduced, with options for Level 1 students to ease the transition from Level 1 to Level 2 classes. Room temperature: 38-40 °C.

After moving to Hong Kong in 2004, Annie was introduced to Hot Yoga by her husband who had practised it in New York. She fell in love immediately and decided to have more formal Yoga training to become a Yoga teacher. Years of dancing had given Annie many injuries, especially her back. She found that yoga practice in a heated room eased her back pain, strengthened her concentration, and increased her self-awareness. After attending Shiva Rea's seminar hosted by Pure, she felt spiritually enlightened and realised that Yoga is more than postures. "It's about spiritual and personal growth. I was eager to experience different aspects of it and share this with my students."
