Gadi

Gadi
Gadi began practising yoga at Yoga to the People in Manhattan's (New York) east village. After graduating from college, he committed full-time to his yoga practice and it was not uncommon to see him at YTTP from early morning to late at night, either practising or helping out. Shortly after his start there, he was apprenticed into their teacher training programme and completed a 200-hour yoga certification.

After teaching at the YTTP Berkeley studio in autumn 2008, Gadi opened a YTTP in Harlem where the community grew in 6 months from 1-2 people a day to almost 200 people a week. Afterward, he and another teacher took over the YTTP hot vinyasa studio in midtown Manhattan, where another vibrant yoga community soon came together. He was also lucky enough to help open a beautiful studio in San Francisco.

In March 2010, Gadi moved to Bali, Indonesia where he was fortunate to teach many wonderful private clients and at the beautiful Yoga Barn in Ubud. After living there for 7 months, he now calls Singapore home.

He is grateful to all of his teachers and students who have guided him through his early yogi years. Greg Gumucio (founder of Yoga to the People), Bryan Kest, Isaac Pena, and Elena Brower are just a few of the many who have had a major impact on his practice and teaching.

"The teacher who walks in the shadow of the temple, among his followers, gives not of his wisdom, but rather of his faith and his lovingness.
If he is indeed wise, he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind"
