Jasmine
|
Jasmine was born in Hong Kong and first came upon yoga in 2004. She began teaching in 2005 and continued to deepen her learning, acquiring certifications from India's Sivananda Int'l Yoga Ashram and Vivekananda Yoga University. Deeply influenced by the traditional yoga culture, she joined Pure Yoga in 2006 as one of the founding teachers of the Langham Place studio.
Since then, Jasmine has completed four other certified teacher trainings and attended many yoga workshops. Not just a teacher, she is also a very passionate practitioner in all lineages of yoga. She believes that the day she takes herself off the mat will be the day she stops teaching.
In her classes, she is sensitive to students' feelings and energy flow. She is stringent about her beliefs within the practice, yet compassionate with each individual. Each of her classes includes a well-balanced warm-up and step-by-step deepening of the session's focus. Thus, students will find a strong connection with her in the development of their practice.
Jasmine believes that only by going deep and touching the heart will there be true purification and transformation. And this is the key to her personal practice.
Jasmine's philosophy - Every single moment in life, you are either receiving or offering, breathing in or breathing out. Receive fully as you deserve everything, and offer generously as you don't need anything. That is the rhythm of the breath, the yoga practice, the yoga teaching and the rhythm of life.
