Cassie

Cassie
Cassie hails from the sunny shores and sandy beaches of Sydney, Australia. After coming to Hong Kong in April 2003 for her work in commercial property, Cassie relied on her yoga practice more than ever as a way to quiet an agitated mind and find stillness in the frantic pace of the corporate girl's lifestyle. Discovering this together with so much more, Cassie has been inspired to bring yoga to others in need of some peace in their lives.

Cassie's Books

The Curious Incident of the Dog at Night-Time
Mark Haddon
Opens your eyes to a different perspective of the world. A murder mystery of sorts narrated by a 15-year-old boy with Aspergers (a type of Autism)

The Five People You Meet in Heaven
Mitch Albom
Refreshingly simple, a sweet read to remind us that we all count for something.

Light on Life
B K S Iyengar
A wonderfully rich base. My introduction to yoga and all that it can mean.

Anatomy for Yoga (DVD)
Paul Grilley
You mean our bodies are all, like, a little bit different?? Fantastic reminder to work with your own body and its individual structure.

Cassie's Tips

Be open and willing, everything starts from there. Let go of judgement and criticism and try not to bring a competitive spirit to the yoga mat. Practise abhyasa-vairagya, equal amounts of applied effort and surrender.

Take care of yourself - eat natural and unrefined foods, drink more water, get enough rest. Learn to breathe deeply from your diaphragm, you'll be amazed at how much this will help you release stress.

Make time for yourself.
