Shalon

Shalon
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Shalon earned her bachelor's degree in business administration in 2002 and started working in the marketing industry after graduation.

She first discovered yoga in 2003 and quickly became a dedicated yoga practitioner of Bikram Yoga in 2005. The importance of self-discipline and correct alignment has made her realise how one can become healthy, confident and happy through the persistent practice of yoga. Since then, these transformations have given her a clearer perspective and renewed determination when dealing with different challenges in life.

After completing formal yoga teacher training and winning the Bishnu Charan Ghosh Cup in the 2nd Annual Hong Kong Regional Yoga Asana Championship in 2007, Shalon shifted away from the marketing profession to become a yoga instructor, with a desire to share the joy and beauty of yoga with others. She teaches Hatha Yoga, Hot Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Power Yoga, and Jivamukti Yoga.

Blessed by her beloved teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life - the founders of Jivamukti Yoga who provide a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings - Shalon believes that by not trying to tame, enslave and exploit other beings, you allow them the right to pursue their true natures. And in doing so, we allow ourselves into the same adventure to find our way back to the true Self and into the Bliss.
