|Born and raised in Hong Kong, Vikki left home at 15 to study in the sunny Bay Area in California. After graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she returned home and worked in an investment bank. Her yoga journey started with lunchtime yoga at Pure Fitness. Over time Vikki discovered that yoga did more than just stretching and strengthening her body - it also stretched her mind, opened her heart, and enlivened her spirit, cultivating an active self-knowing process on the mat. Gradually, Vikki's lunchtime classes evolved into a dedicated practice with her first teacher Sudhakar Dheenan. Under Sudhakar's tutelage, she won the "Champion of the Champions" award in the 17th International Yogasana Competition organised by the Pondicherry Government in India - becoming the first non-Indian participant to earn this title.|
Vikki's daily yoga practice teaches her the importance of a healthy body, a positive mind, and a happy soul, together allowing her to love, dream, explore, and discover. Her passion for yoga encouraged her to leave the investment banking world in 2011. Vikki feels immensely blessed and grateful to be able to deepen her yoga learning with her teacher Samrat, whose guidance and grace bring her the light of the practice of real yoga, inspiring her through yoga's beautiful power to cultivate positive mental attitude and bring positive growth to our own lives as well as to the lives of those we love. She is humbled by the opportunity to share what she has learned from her teachers with others, so they too can taste the joy of this ancient art that she deeply loves and respects.
