Bhagavad Gita Workshop with Charat Singh
20 February – 14 March 2010, Weekends only, Ngee Ann City

Add to Outlook calendar    Add this event to Outlook calendar

Consisting of 18 chapters and 700 verses, each chapter of the Bhagavad Gita is called a yoga and each chapter is a particular form of yoga revealing the path of attaining realisation of the ultimate Truth. Each verse and each chapter is also loaded with multiple meanings, enabling one to understand and interpret it in their own way.

Bhagavad Gita reveals how you or anyone can perform ordinary duties in this world and yet remain free from the consequences of one's action. It tells us how we should conduct ourselves in our day-to-day lives, keeping Source at the centre of our awareness and activities, and performing our duties with a sense of detachment.

The Bhagavad Gita is as relevant today as it was centuries ago. With our lives becoming more complex and challenging due to the pressures of modern life, it is in many ways even more relevant today than it was before. The message of the Bhagavad Gita may be viewed in two ways - as a practical guide to a man of action and as an integral view of systems of thought.

Bhagavad Gita is thus a practical manual for spiritual revaluation and attainment.

Each session will consist of:
• Talk on the Gita
• Simple moves with breath to relax and open in between
• Guided meditation
• Q&A session

Open to all levels.
