Hong Kong Dogs Rescue
Founded in 2002 by Sally Andersen, HKDR has been rescuing and re-homing
dogs for many years before forming a recognised organisation that would
allow dogs to be taken from AFCD kennels where they were due to de
destroyed. HKDR believes that education about the keeping of dogs as
pets is vital, to prevent cruelty through ignorance and the abandonment
of so many.

Matilda Sedan Chair Race
The main fundraising event of the Matilda Sedan Chair Race Charities
Fund, it consists of teams carrying a sedan chair racing around the Peak
on a choice of one of two routes (3.2km for course A and 2.1km for
course B), starting from The Matilda International Hospital. Teams from
a broad cross-section of Hong Kong - corporations, associations, clubs
and schools - are all welcome to join the Race.

The Children's Institute of Hong Kong
The first school in Hong Kong set up solely to educate children who fall
within the Autistic spectrum. Their goal is to provide a quality
education for children who cannot learn in a mainstream environment, as
well to provide academic and behavioral support for children who can
learn in a typical education setting.

AIDS Concern - November 2005 - February 2006
Pure Yoga studios will be selling two designs of T-shirts to support AIDS Concern
for HK$100. All proceeds will go to AIDS Concern.
Breast Cancer Awareness - November and December 2005
During this period pink bracelets were available for sale from all Pure Yoga
studios. Over 1,500 were sold over the two-month period.
Hope Tees - December 2005
Pure Yoga supported Hope Tees, a innovative programme which offers a limited
edition T-shirts each designed to reflect the unique qualities of a worthwhile cause. Four
designs supporting four causes were available for sale at Pure Yoga studios: Ai
Tam Nursery (Ho Chin Minh, Vietnam), Kashmir Earthquake Relief Programme,
Operation Santa Claus, Hong Kong, International China Concern (Orphanages in China).
St. James' Settlement - October 2005
Pure Yoga became collection points for non-perishable food goods for a month,
in support of the St. James Settlement's Call for Food. This objective of this
initiative is to "provide food to people in need on a short-term and weekly basis, relieve
hunger and to promote social cohesion through encouraging people to share resources with those
less fortunate than themselves." Our generous students, teachers and staff filled the
donation boxes to the brim for the benefit of hungry children from the Mainland.
