Introduction

This course is the second 100 hours of the full 200-hour RYS Universal® Yoga Teacher Training Programme. For those who cannot commit to 100 hours, this training will also be offered in two sub-modules:
Module 3  Universal® Yoga sequencing and sub-styles of practice (50 hours)
Module 4  Universal® Raja and Tantric Yoga (50 hours)

To obtain the full 100-hour certification for Part 2 Universal® Yoga Teacher Training, exams of both sub-modules will need to be written and passed. Failed exams can also be rewritten anywhere with Andrey Lappa to complete the Part 2 Training.

This teacher training programme will focus on different sub-styles with practices that challenge experienced students and are accessible to all levels of practitioners. Each morning during the intensives practice, a different sequence will be taught to support your capacity towards development. Shiva Nata™ – an ancient practice re-discovered by Andrey in Nepal and introduced into the modern world – will be practised in the afternoons. The movements of the Dance of Shiva® form the basis of all the South-Asian martial arts and dance forms. This is a dynamic yoga practice for attention control and consciousness liberation. Evening lectures will include theory, history, teaching methodology and discussions.

Through daily yoga asana classes, Dance of Shiva® practice and lectures, we will explore a variety of yogic concepts and methods to create a new approach to this ancient practice. Students will be challenged to explore & expand upon their personal yoga practice and will be encouraged to develop creative, conscious & intelligent teaching techniques.

Morning Intensive Practice
The morning intensives are where Universal® Yoga techniques are learned, skills are sharpened and the fire of transformation is fuelled.  This part of the programme is open to students who desire a life-affirming shift, but are not participating in the full programme. The commitment to practise with the same group of yogi's over an extended period of time has enormous power in it. Includes asanas, vinyasas, in-depth study of basic pranayamas, mantras and deep meditation. This intensive is suitable for students, teachers, former trainees or those want to immerse into Universal® Yoga.

Universal Yoga Certification and Exam
• A written application for Universal® Yoga Certification in exam format will be conducted after each sub-programme. Applications are only
for students who want to be certified. Certification to teach Universal Yoga Modules 3&4 will be given to those who pass the exam(s).
• Certification of Participation will also be given upon 100% attendance – no application is needed.
• Approved certification from Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level will be given upon 100% attendance of Parts 1 and 2.
