Vincent Lu
Through his years of physical fitness training, Vincent has become very knowledgeable and experienced with correct body alignment, and muscle and bone structure. Vincent completed the AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) Weight Instructor's Course and has been an active physical trainer since 2002. He previously taught Body Combat and Spinning, and has also worked as a lifeguard.
Vincent first encountered yoga in 2003 when he took intensive yoga classes with Sri. S. Kamal, an Indian Yoga Master. During his training, Vincent often felt frustrated because he couldn't do many of the yoga postures that required flexibility – a quality Vincent lacked due to his well-developed musculature structure. Consequently, Vincent gave up yoga.
It was not until a year later that he decided to give yoga another try. He enrolled in a Yoga Instructor's Training programme and improved his flexibility remarkably through hard work and sheer determination. More importantly, Vincent learned that yoga is not just an exercise in flexibility, but also an exercise in how to live a balanced and meaningful life.
Yoga has become an integral part of Vincent's daily routine. It provides him with significantly less physical and mental stress, more confidence, improved performance in sports and a deeper, more peaceful sleep.
