PURE Yoga Singapore will support Daughters Of Tomorrow (DOT) in their ‘Employ to Empower’ social give-back programme. We will be providing women from underprivileged, low-income or troubled families with job shadowing opportunities to help bring this event together – giving them real work experience that not only provides an income, but allows them to regain self-confidence and develop skills to eventually attain a productive role in society.

We’ve got 3 awesome classes to power you through the day and great prizes to give away – so bring your mats and let’s have some fun!

Empower Your Entire Being* with the Dynamic Duo, Marvin & Monica - 3:30 – 4:45pm

Cultivate balance with this 60-minute Yin & Yang class, a combination of passive and active poses for a deeply satisfying, strengthening practice. Slow it all down with an optional 15 minutes of guided meditation to relax and reset the body and mind.

Empower Young Minds with Stephanie - 5:00 – 5:45pm

Introduce healthy lifestyle habits early on and set the foundation for a balanced future. This fun, dynamic and interactive 45-minute kids yoga class includes breathing exercises, yoga postures & games for everyone to experience. Your child will leave feeling energised & confident.

Empower Your Soul* with Kristin - 6:00– 7:15pm

Start with simple breath awareness (pranayama) to clear your mind. Explore the effects of sitting in stillness and how it helps to balance the mind-body experience and prepare for a Vinyasa flow to a live DJ set. Let the sound vibrations optimise your brain frequency to help release negative emotions, relieve stress and recharge the body.

Complimentary and open to all. Young, old, yogi, non-yogi, whether you live yoga or have never touched a yoga mat before – come sweat, laugh and experience our amazing community.

Register here to save your spot.

Bring your own mats, towels and water. Event will take place, rain or shine.

About International Yoga Day

The idea of an international day of yoga was first proposed by Narendra Modi. He stated that Yoga is “an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well-being.” On December 11 in 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared 21 June as the International Yoga Day.

About Daughters Of Tomorrow

http://daughtersoftomorrow.org

Daughters Of Tomorrow is a registered charity organization in Singapore whose mission is to facilitate livelihood opportunities for underprivileged women, and support them in building financially independent and resilient families. Their beneficiaries are women aged 20 to 60 from low-income families who face limitations on access to gainful employment due to child-rearing responsibilities, lack of flexibility in employment practices and lack of focused training and skills-enhancement.
