「這是一個綜合的教育系統,而且不只限於身、心或智力上,還包括內在靈魂。」 希瓦難陀派別強調靈性和正面思維,因此它的瑜珈練習會促進身、心、靈上的整體安康。其體位法系統節奏較慢,並包括倒立、後彎、前彎、扭轉、平衡以及膕繩肌伸展。除了專注在哈達瑜珈以外,希瓦難陀瑜珈也會讓學生接觸到勝王瑜珈 Raja Yoga(控制心念) 。
