21 Days of DHARANA SADHANA with Rajiv Kapil

About the Workshop 



Dharana is translated as concentration. Before the mind reaches a state of Dhyana (Meditation), it must pass the stage of complete concentration.


A human being is multi-dimensional in nature and personality. For each kind of personality, an appropriate kind of concentration and meditation technique is required. If the correct technique of meditation is chosen, the person can achieve a concentrated state of mind more quickly and easily.


In this workshop, we take inspiration from VIGYAN BHAIRAVA TANTRA an Ancient Tantric Text that contains 112 techniques of meditation and concentration -- to explore, learn and practise such techniques. All techniques will be explained philosophically, scientifically, psychologically and practically.


We will go through 14 techniques of concentration and meditation. Each will be practised for 3 consecutive days and by the end of the 21 days, the practitioner will be able to decide which technique works best for them and should be chosen for regular practice.

For increasing the power of attention

For increasing the sense of ease in the body and mind

For centring

For penetrating our inner world

For inner centring

For breaking free from the past

Looking techniques

Of sound and soundlessness

Of dropping the mind

Of inner silence

That uses sense to transcend

Of self-remembering

For awareness and non-judgement

Of conscious doing


Besides meditation and concentration techniques, appropriate Hatha Yoga techniques will be practised to prepare the mind for concentration and meditation.

1-21 November:


Monday to Friday: 7:00am-8:30am (Asia Standard Tower studio)


Every Saturday: 10:00am-12:00pm (Asia Standard Tower studio)

2-Hour Lecture: Philosophy of Yoga focusing on Yoga Philosophy, Vedanta and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.


Every Sunday: 4:00pm-5:30pm

(4,11,18 November: Outdoor practice on the beach – The Pulse))

*Participants shall gather at Pure South The Pulse at 3:30pm and head to the beach together.
