About the Workshop

Yoga props - blocks, bolsters, belts, blankets, and even the wall can be vital components of your yoga practice, whether you are a beginner or seasoned practitioner. Props are amazing tools to make most yoga poses more accessible to everyone.

  

Via this workshop, you will learn how the combination of different props can create more space, ease and peace in the body and mind. You will gain the understanding and appreciation that you do not need to struggle while practising asanas that are commonly thought to be difficult to access due to different types of body constitution, level of fitness and flexibility.

  

Open to all levels. This workshop is also suitable for teachers who are looking for fresh ways to approach asana teaching.

  

Key Focus:

  • Warm up with props
  • Break down prop-based poses
  • Learn how to use props to deepen poses
  • Learn how to use props for improving strength, proprioception & stamina
  • Learn how to use props as modifications to gain benefit from poses that you ordinarily wouldn’t be able to do because of physical restrictions or injuries
  • Explore the 5 most common pain areas that show up in practice and how to use props to help: knees, hamstrings, back, shoulders, wrists
  • Learn how to adjust / assist others through the use of props
