About the Workshop

Come practise a beautiful vinyasa flow class with Wendy in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (link to website).

• Open to the public - all levels welcome!
• By minimum donation of HK$300, required upon registration

• 100% of all donations will go to HKBCF

On average, 9 women in Hong Kong are diagnosed with breast cancer every day. Statistics show that 1 in every 17 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer affecting women in Hong Kong and has the third highest cancer mortality rate. Medical research supports that a healthy lifestyle and regular mammography screening can reduce the risks of breast cancer. Regular screening facilitates early detection which saves lives. The HKBCF, inaugurated in March 2005, is the first charity dedicated to eliminating the threat of breast cancer to the local Hong Kong community. Their work includes breast health education, physical and emotional support services, as well as research-based advocacy for the better detection and treatment of breast cancer in Hong Kong.

PURE Yoga would like to help HKBCF by promoting breast cancer awareness and by raising funds to support their work. This includes providing patients with information and support related to treatment, holding seminars and workshops, organising support group activities for patients and families, and offering professional counselling.
