Requirements
Students who are interested in participating should bear in mind that this will be a physically and emotionally demanding programme. It will require a strong commitment and personal sacrifice, as well as the support of the student's primary support network. We emphasise that this programme may not be for everyone.
Interested students must:
- Have a deep desire to learn and personally explore the deeper dimensions of yoga
- Have a minimum 12 months of regular yoga practice
- Be free of major injuries going into the programme
- Have a coachable attitude
- Be fully committed and understand that 100% full attendance is required
- Be willing to forgo most other personal or professional commitments for the duration of the programme
- Submit a brief 250-word essay describing: "Why I want to teach yoga" or if you do not intend to teach: "Why I want to take this training."
- Have read the required readings prior to the beginning of the course.
Upon completing the readings, the following assignments are required and they must be submitted on the first day of the training:
Homework Submission Prior to Start of Course
- Bhagavad Gita – 250-500 word summary of the main teachings, PLUS Choose 3 favorite chapters and write 1 paragraph on each, what you learned from it and why you liked it.
- Light on Life – Write a 250 word summary and what you found to be the most insightful or most inspiring aspect of this book
- Attend a minimum of 10 Yoga classes with Patrick Creelman before 12 July

Pure Yoga will conduct a brief personal and/or telephone interviews with interested students before accepting them to the programme, and reserves the right to decline any applicant who does not meet the requirements detailed above.
