Teachers > Amy Mines
Amy began practising yoga in 2008 following a close friend's suggestion that it would help alleviate the physical side-effects of surgery. When Amy first signed up at Pure, she believed she would attend just a few times weekly. By the time she realised that she was feeling better physically and emotionally, she was hooked! Practice became a daily priority as she was enticed by the excitement of learning and the peace of mind that yoga provided. With each new training, Amy finds herself a more engaged student of yoga, with a commitment to grow and develop into a more attentive, mindful practitioner.
Amy loves the opportunities that yoga provides for transformation and evolution. She is grateful to have found not one but two inspirational teachers. Patrick Creelman and Rinat Perlman consistently enrich her practice and challenge her to improve and extend herself.
She loves teaching upbeat classes that encourage students to try something new. With playful inspiration, Amy's unintimidating style encourages her students to explore life's possibilities both on and off the mat. She enjoys seeing her students grow through hard work and commitment to practice, providing them with room and confidence to push past their own self-limiting beliefs. Giving students reassurance and comfort to go deeper, Amy believes that everyone should do something to make themselves feel stronger every day. Amy's classes are alignment-based – she believes that with proper alignment, you can maximise the benefit from each pose.
