Teachers > Michael Mcginty
Michael hails from San Diego, California and was introduced to Yoga and Meditation™ by his neighbour Clark Prestwood (former navy seal Captain and triathlon competitor). He was 16 years old at the time and spent many years snowboarding and skateboarding, only to incur numerous injuries as a result. His background in action sports led him to yoga for its therapeutic benefits and he was quickly taken by the enhanced connection to the mental, physical, and emotional results that yoga provides.
His journey into yoga has seen him practising since 2002 and he feels life has been better than ever since. Some of the biggest changes and benefits Michael has experienced include better quality of life due to stress-relief and greater ability to realise one's full potential. Michael credits his teaching to his biggest influences that include Patrick Creelman, Vinnie Marino, Kristyan Stjerne and Bikram Choudhury.
Michael’s passion for helping students extends to those of all levels and yoga experience. His class has an encouraging and energetic atmosphere with styles ranging from hot, vinyasa, yin, and yoga basics. Michael feels honoured to share his learning with the goal of creating an environment that allows his students to recieve yoga's profound impact.
