Teachers > Olympe Thomas
Olympe moved to Hong Kong from Paris in 2012. A few months later, she stepped onto the yoga mat for the very first time, choosing PURE Yoga The Centrium studio after being introduced by colleagues. With an extensive background in running, athletic and swimming competition practice, Olympe was curious about experiencing a new form of exercise. She quickly realised that yoga was so much more than just the poses. Besides building a healthy body and mind, practising yoga brings balance into her life and gives her time and space to learn more about her inner self. During her beauty spa management career in Hong Kong and now as a busy mum of three young kids, practising yoga has always been an important time that Olympe takes for herself to revitalise her mind and recharge her energy.
Wishing to deepen her knowledge, Olympe enrolled in the 200-hour Teacher Training with Yogananth Andiappan in 2020 and continued with the 100-hour Pre-Natal training while pregnant with her third baby. She is grateful to all the teachers she has met and who have helped her grow. She is very thankful for Almen Wong who has shared her long-time experience and passion for teaching yoga, providing guidance in Olympe’s journey to become a yoga instructor.
Olympe’s style is a balance of dynamic flow and focus on details and alignment. Her intention as a teacher is to encourage students’ inner-self connection and help them cultivate positive habits by being a little kinder, and more patient and caring with themselves.
