All-Inclusive Annapurna Base Camp Trek 2025 with Priscilla Van Rooyen (安納布爾納峰大本營徒步旅行)

19 – 27 April 2025, Himalayas, Nepal

Welcome to the magical land of Nepal, where serenity and adventure await. Are you ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and rejuvenation? Join Pricilla for this 10-day yoga retreat in Nepal that will bring peace to your mind and offer a thrilling trek to witness the majestic Annapurna.

***Exclusive AIRFARE to Nepal

Imagine waking up to the soothing sound of birds chirping and the fresh mountain air filling your lungs with new life – the ultimate pranayama. As the sun rises over the snow-capped mountains, you will feel a sense of tranquility and inner peace. We will trek to Annapurna Base Camp (also known as Annapurna Sanctuary or ABC trek) that is famous for its stunning landscape.

We will begin with a trekking briefing, welcome dinner, and spend the first night in Kathmandu at The Mulberry Hotel where we’ll connect with each other in our first yoga class together. The next morning, we’ll take a domestic flight to Pokhara where we’ll spend a day buying any necessary last-minute trekking items and pack our small daypacks to be self-carried (bigger backpacks will be given to porters).

On day 3, we
will begin our trekking adventure! After a drive from Pokhara, the trek starts among gorgeous green hills, beautiful villages, and terraced farmlands, where we will make our way up a spectacular valley surrounded by cliffs and cascading waterfalls. As we make our way to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, situated at the top of the valley, we will be greeted by the starting point of River Modi. It springs to life from the melting glaciers on the mountain slopes, right at the camp's entrance. How magnificent!

Each day and at every turn, we will be treated to a closer and more magnificent view of the majestic Himalayan mountain ranges. As we approach the Annapurna Basecamp, we are surrounded by a 360-degree panoramic spectacle, offering a stunning view of the main peaks of the western Annapurna range, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre. These peaks are arranged in a perfect circle, spanning a diameter of 10 miles. And right at the centre, across a deep glacier gorge, lies the breathtakingly beautiful Annapurna I, standing tall at 8,091 metres. Getting up close and personal with the mighty Himalayas is one of the most unforgettable and awe-inspiring experiences with dramatic, breathtaking views that you will never forget.

During this journey, you will have the opportunity to encounter unique villages of the Gurung community such as Landruk, Chhomrong, and Ghandruk. These villages will give you a glimpse of their traditional customs and lifestyle in the mountains and hills of Nepal.

The trek concludes with a thrilling experience as you hover above the stunning Annapurna Range in Nepal on a helicopter ride. We will be transported back to The Pavillions, a sustainable resort in Pokhara. While taking off from the rugged base camp, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking views of snow-covered mountains that seem to go on forever. The well-known peaks of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli stand tall against the picturesque backdrop of blue skies. The helicopter ride from Annapurna Base Camp is not just a trip, but an unforgettable and soul-stirring journey that will leave a lasting impact on you.

We'll kick off our mornings with some yoga and wrap up our treks with a good stretch. As the sun sets, we'll wind down with meditation sessions and talks. This yoga-trek is all about personal development, reconnecting with mother nature, finding your inner self, and experiencing the ultimate adventure.

What to expect?
  • Walking up to 7 hours on some days – it will be a very physical experience.
  • You will carry a small daypack with water and snacks (our gracious porters will carry the rest).
  • Only vegetarian meals will be provided.
  • Very simple accommodations in the mountains. We will be sleeping in guest houses, NOT tents, but expect basic facilities such as shared bathrooms. In Pokhara and Kathmandu, higher standard accommodation will be provided.
  • There will be yoga and meditation discussions daily.
**All individuals practising yoga are welcome, but please note that this is a moderately challenging trek and a certain level of physical fitness is necessary. If you have any health conditions, such as asthma or heart disease, it is advised to consult with your physician beforehand.

Our first night will be spent in Kathmandu in the warm hospitality of the Mulberry Hotel, a cozy oasis in the bustling capital. With a blend of contemporary and traditional Nepalese elements, from sleek modern furnishings to intricate local artwork, every detail has been carefully curated to enhance your Nepalese experience. One of the unique features of Mulberry Hotel is the rooftop garden, where you can catch stunning views of the Himalayas while sipping on a cup of aromatic Nepalese tea. Dinner will be at the in-house restaurant, serving authentic Nepalese and international cuisine. With fresh, locally sourced ingredients, talented chefs will take your taste buds on a culinary journey. It's the perfect spot to begin our Nepalese yoga-trek adventure.

The Big Pillow Hotel in Pokhara will be where we gear up for our trek into the mountains. Located in the heart of this beautiful city and surrounded by the stunning Himalayan mountains, it’s the perfect place to acclimate, relax, and prepare for our trek together. This hotel is loved for its eco-friendly practices such as using solar panels and recycling, and commitment to supporting local charities and social projects.

In the mountains, we’ll stay in modest accommodation known as Teahouses. Teahouses have been a part of Nepalese culture for centuries, with the earliest being established on trading routes along the Himalayas. Today, teahouses have become a well-liked stop for hikers to take a break. They provide hot tea and a spot to relax before resuming their trek. During our stay, we will have the opportunity to try traditional Nepalese cuisine that is both uncomplicated and mouth-watering, giving you a real taste of the local flavours.

We’ll end our time together back in Pokhara. After our exhilarating helicopter ride, we’ll be settled down at Pavilions Himalayas. Nestled in the tranquil hills of Nepal, this luxury eco-resort offers a truly unique experience to end our Nepal adventure. We’ll be staying in their beautiful pavilions, built using locally sourced materials that incorporate elements of traditional Nepali architecture, offering the perfect blend of modern amenities and rustic charm. Each pavilion has a private garden and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. There is also a spa and wellness centre, perfect for indulging in some well-deserved pampering and relaxation. Using fresh and locally sourced ingredients, the on-site chefs create meals that will tantalise your taste buds. They also offer cooking classes for guests who want to learn more about traditional Nepali cuisine. We especially love the resort's commitment to giving back to the local community who work closely with local villages and support various social and environmental initiatives.

  • We start our final ascent towards ABC. The trail is not steep but rises gradually. More landscape changes await as we cross the tree line and enter a high-altitude meadow (or Himalayan tundra) where no trees grow due to harsh high-altitude conditions – only low plants can be seen here. In the winter months, from December until March, the snow line starts just after Deurali.
  • Lunch
  • We pass by Machhapuchhre Base Camp, and then tackle the last leg of our final ascent, crossing through the beautiful barren landscape with fantastic mountain views (between December and early April, there will be lots of snow), finally we reach our destination of ABC. Healthy snacks are provided on the way.
  • Restorative yoga & meditation with Priscilla, followed by dinner
  • Overnight in a teahouse

Day 8 (April 26): Deurali – Annapurna Base Camp: 4,130m/13,550ft // 4hr trek

  • This is a long day and the altitude is strenuous, so the suggestion is no yoga this morning. Instead, we take an early morning greeting with a sunrise casting a red hue over the white mountain peaks. Sometimes we may hear what sounds like a muffled thunder – this is the sound of faraway avalanches happening on distant mountain slopes, it’s too far to be seen but it can be heard from a great distance. We admire the natural spectacle of the sun casting colourful rays upon the snowy mountains and take in the views.
