This year, WILDLOTUS Yoga is thrilled to debut the innovative Foundation Hybrid Teacher Training. A first-of-its-kind program that seamlessly blends 100-hour online learning with a 100-hour immersive in-person experience in Koh Samui, Thailand. This unique teaching model gives students greater flexibility with 12-months to complete the online courses, and accesibility from any location.


WILDLOTUS Yoga, founded by Patrick, masterfully integrates traditional yoga philosophies with contemporary life management principles to cultivate a transformative practice. This training delves into the study of asanas with practical and intelligent alignment, enhanced by creatively sequenced movements. WILDLOTUS Yoga offers an environment where advanced asanas are approached with a solid foundation in fundamental alignments. About Patrick

With more than 15 years of experience, Patrick is well-equipped to guide and assist teachers in their professional development. He will lead and support the entire group in overcoming the challenge of gaining confidence in their abilities, while also imparting crucial knowledge and practical skills. This program has consistently delivered transformative and life-changing postive results.


Yoga Alliance Accredited School

PURE Yoga is an officially recognized institution by Yoga Alliance, with our teacher training courses and instructors being accredited on an international level. This grants them exclusive acknowledgement and meets the requirements for the 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification.

Yoga Alliance is an international governing board for yoga teachers and training programmes in the U.S. and globally. Graduates of our programme are automatically eligible to register as a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance. Becoming a RYT means having a higher profile and gaining international recognition as a yoga teacher, attributes that many hiring studios look for.

Part I : 100-hour Online Training


The WILDLOTUS online training allows you to move through the material at your own speed and refer back to the videos as often as you like. You will have full access to the entire course for 12 months starting from the date you begin the program. The online training comprises of more than 70 hours of pre-recorded modules that cover subjects such as: 


  • Yoga Philosophy
  • Anatomy and Asana Practice
  • Pranayama and Meditation Techniques
  • Life Management Strategies for Yoga Teachers


We will offer general monthly goals for your online work, but the only requirement is that you complete everything in order to get certified within the 12-month period. Additionally, there will be bi-weekly live Zoom sessions for questions and answers, starting in September 2024 when the training commences (recordings will be accessible if you are unable to attend).

Part 2 : 100-hour In-person Training


We will meet up at the amazing Absolute Sanctuary in Koh Samui for the dates November 24th to December 6th, 2024. This immersive experience will allow you to connect with fellow yogis, receive personalized guidance from Patrick, and gain the practical in-person skills to lead captivating and effective yoga classes.   • In-depth study of basic alignment for over 100 asanas. Beginner & intermediate poses
  • Learn safe positioning for beginner-level students
  • Key modifications for all standard poses for stiff, injured or beginner students
  • Key guidelines for keeping students safe whilst practising with you

Yoga Props Usage

  • Study the proper use of a yoga chair, belt, blanket, blocks, bolster and yoga mat

Anatomy & Physiology

  • Introduction to yoga anatomy – organs and systems of the body, skeletal system, muscular system and the biomechanical intelligence of the body 
  • Study all the major joints – movements, restrictions, muscular system, physiology, postural muscles
  • Understand the muscular system – muscles for movement and alignment in asanas



  • Study the timeline for an overview of the historical Yoga Lineages
  • Understand how we got here: from the first schools of yoga all the way to the modern era
  • Tantra and modern yoga
  • Buddha and Buddhism's influence on yoga
  • Classical Yoga of Patañjali - Yoga Sutra study
  • The Bhagavad Gita



  • Understanding the Five Elements (Space, Air, Fire, Water, Earth)
  • The Three Doshas (3 main mind/body principles that create special mental and physical characteristics)
  • Examine the basics of a Yogic Diet – You Are What You Eat


Yogic Practices

  • Esoteric Anatomy (the anatomical system of conscious energy within the body)
  • Chakras (energy centres)
  • Mudras (seal or locking energies)
  • Bandhas (energy locks)
  • Vayus (energies of the breath)
  • Nadis (system of passageways through our bodies where we transform and move the energy of the breath /Pranayama) 
  • Study the basic techniques for breath awareness
  • Learn reclining pranayama for activating the ribs, then the lungs

Teaching Methodology

  • Study the art of teaching
  • Observe the structure of classroom dynamics
  • Practise teaching one-on-one with fellow teachers
  • Practise teaching small groups of 2-5 students
  • Contemplate your key motivations for teaching and realise that by knowing them, you can use them to teach from the core of your being

Students who are interested in participating should bear in mind that this will be a physically and emotionally demanding programme. It will require a strong commitment and personal sacrifice, as well as the support of the student's primary support network.


Homework submission prior to the start of the course:

  • Bhagavad Gita – Write a 250 to 500 word summary of the main teachings, PLUS choose 3 favorite chapters and write 1 paragraph on each: what you learned from it and why you liked it
  • Light on Life – Write a 250-word summary and what you found to be the most insightful or inspiring aspect of this book
  • Light on Yoga – Write a basic explanation of the Yamas & Niyamas as outlined in the first section of Light On Yoga and how they are beneficial to your life today.
  • Practice, study & memorise the WildLotus Foundation Practice Sequence (Students should know the poses by name and picture using Light On Yoga as reference)

  • Bhagavad Gita (any version)
  • Light on Yoga by B.K.S. Iyengar
  • WildLotus Foundation Practice Sequence (will be sent to students before training)

Absolute Sanctuary is located on the North Eastern side of Koh Samui, also known as the island of healing.


The property is located a 5-minute drive away from the airport and the popular Chaweng & Cheong Mon beaches. A regular shuttle bus service runs from the resort to the beaches.


Bangkok Air and Thai Airways flies out of Bangkok to Koh Samui on an hourly basis. Direct International flights are available from Hong Kong and Singapore with Bangkok Air and Silk Air, or from Kuala Lumpur with Bangkok Air and Firefly.
