200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Sandy Shum and TT Ho (Yoga Alliance Accredited)

This Yoga Alliance Accredited Teacher Training Programme will be focusing on Hatha Yoga elements and essentially caters to aspiring teachers and yoga practitioners wanting to advance their practices. Additionally, students can choose to further their learning in Yoga Wheel or Aerial Yoga in Part 2 of the programme.

The programme is divided into 2 parts: 


Part I: Foundational Training

During Part I of the training, you will experience an in-depth review of yoga and discover how your practice fits into the history and philosophy of yoga. The main focus is on traditional Hatha Yoga, gaining an extensive and thorough understanding of the basic asanas. The course is structured in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards in five education categories – Asana Practice, Yogic Practice, Anatomy and Physiology, History and Philosophy, and Teaching Methodology. The fundamental skills you will be learning will provide you with a solid foundation to teach a Hatha and/or alignment-based yoga class or to further deepen your yoga practice.


Part II  Option 1: Yoga Wheel 

In Part II (Yoga Wheel), the training evolves from the mat to deepening the practice with yoga wheel. Yoga wheel helps practitioners to increase flexibility, develop strength, provides dynamic support and fosters better breathing. Discovering how to work with the yoga wheel as a teaching prop allows students explore, refine and advance the asana practice. The yoga wheel enhances the asana practice through deeper stretching, building up strength and stamina, whilst preventing injuries and relieving aches and pain. 

You will understand the benefits of working with the yoga wheel – how it facilitates proper body alignment and physical release in different body parts. You will also learn how to create multi-level classes and how to safely teach with yoga wheel as a versatile prop. 


Part II - Option 2: Aerial Yoga

In Part II (Aerial Yoga), the training evolves from mat to aerial hammock. Aerial Yoga helps practitioners to increase flexibility, develop strength, and experience deep, full breathing. Working with gravity, students realign and relax the body, enhance awareness, and uplift the spirit. Discovering how to work with the hammock as a teaching prop allows students to explore, refine and advance their asana practice. The hammock makes traditional asanas easier, whilst the practice becomes deeper and more achievable as the weight of the body is either partially or fully supported by the fabric (hammock). Students can challenge themselves whilst also restoring, repairing and relaxing. 


You will understand the benefits of working with the hammock / yoga swing – how it facilitates proper body alignment and physical release in different body parts. You will also learn how to create a fluid aerial yoga class and how to safely teach aerial yoga to others. 


Yoga Alliance Accredited School
Pure Yoga is a registered school with Yoga Alliance. Our teacher training programmes and teachers are internationally accredited, have exclusive recognition and qualify for the 200-hr & 300-hr Yoga Alliance Certification.

Yoga Alliance is an international governing board for yoga teachers and training programmes in the U.S. and globally. Graduates of our programme are automatically eligible to register as a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance. Becoming a RYT means having a higher profile and gaining international recognition as a yoga teacher, attributes that many hiring studios look for.
