Teachers > Georgia Fun
Georgia discovered yoga when she was studying theatre at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2011. Due to long and irregular hours of rehearsals and shows, yoga was her only remedy to destress and keep fit. Along the journey, she discovered that yoga is more than just the physical – she began to explore meditation and spirituality. Upon graduation, Georgia introduced yoga elements into her kids’ drama classes to help them improve on their concentration, which also created a positive atmosphere. Realising the benefits of including yoga in everyday life, she decided to start a path of learning that ultimately leads to teaching others.
In 2014, she took up hot yoga teacher training under Copper Crow. She is very thankful to teachers like Copper, Lama Marut and Tomasz Goetel who have inspired her teaching and philosophy.
Georgia’s classes are light-hearted and fun with an emphasis on breath and alignment. Every student is different. Everybody comes from different backgrounds in different shapes and with different experiences, making our practice unique from one another. She strongly encourages her students to self-enquire with an open mind on and off the mat. Work within what is available to them, push their limits, but at the same time be mindful of their breath.
