Music lover and flower child Gayle enjoys meeting new people and learning their stories. You may recognise her from her acting and singing days, but now you’re more likely to find her hanging out at a yoga studio.
Being in the eye of the media from the age of 16, Gayle constantly felt judged on her external appearance, was ashamed of her body and struggled with body dysmorphia and multiple eating disorders. In 2017, feeling lost and disheartened, she turned to the teachings of Yoga to guide and heal – and she has never been more peaceful and free.
Yoga has taught her how to embrace herself wholeheartedly. It has fostered discipline and resilience within her and given her many insights to tackle the stresses of everyday life with wisdom and love.
She feels incredibly blessed to be a part of her inspirational students’ lives and will forever be grateful to her teachers Erica Tenggara, Patrick Creelman and Kristin Khor. Each – with their own style, tenacity and charisma – have opened her heart and mind to this enrapturing world’s power and magic.
Gayle’s fun and light-hearted nature pours over into her classes. Her aim is to create an open and safe space for everybody to laugh, grunt, sweat and transform. She encourages her students to discover and challenge themselves without judgment or comparison. Gayle believes in fostering discipline through compassion, helping all to recognise their limitless potential.
