Yoga Wheel Training: A Journey Through Anahata with Gopal Palanisamy

7 March – 12 April World Trade Centre – Causeway Bay

With this teacher training, Gopal hopes to share the beautiful experience that he has when using the yoga wheel – its beneficial nurturing of major body parts such as the heart chakra and exploring the fun!


He will provide a clear, step-by-step introduction, illustrating the multiple functions of yoga wheel and the importance of safety to ensure that all practitioners reap the benefits.


Level 1

In this programme, you will learn:

  • How to use the wheel appropriately and safely
  • Introduction to yoga wheel
  • Three Golden Rules
  • Important things to remember while teaching
  • How to spot


Level 2

In this programme, you will learn

  • How to teach variations & modifications safely
  • How to incorporate other props such as blanket, blocks and straps
  • How to spot difficult asanas
  • Alignment and adjustment
  • Arm balance, inversions
  • How to teach from beginner to advanced levels
  • Demonstrations

Level 1:

Level 1: 7 & 8, 14 & 15 March (Total 30 Hours)


Daily Schedule:

9:00am – 12:30pm: Learning techniques

1:30pm – 4:30pm: Lecture, teaching skills, discussion, illustration

4:30pm – 5:30pm: Restorative, pranayama and Yoga Nidra


Level 2: 10-12 April (Total 20 Hours)


10 & 11 April: 9:00am – 12:30pm & 2:00pm-5:00pm

12 April: 9:00am – 12:30pm & 2:00pm-5:30pm

- A good intention to learn

- Have practised at least 10-15 sessions of yoga wheel




  • Be free from high blood pressure, recent surgery or recently post-natal, severe back pain, pregnancy


To receive the Certificate:

- 100% participation and attendance is a must

- Exam: leading a minimum 15-minute group class
