Intelligent Sequencing and Anatomy CET

A 50-Hour Yoga Alliance Accredited Continuing Education Training with Edric and Sheryl


This CET (Continuing Education Training) is designed for practitioners and teachers who want to deepen their anatomical understanding and use this knowledge to develop sensible intelligent sequencing for their Hatha and Vinyasa classes.


Edric and Sheryl are excited to also have Ryan Unsworth (Director/ Osteopath at Calibrate Health),  to share his expertise on injury management and prevention. Expect to develop in-depth anatomical understanding, plan yoga sequences, and learn to manage common injuries in the yoga classroom.


Key Focuses:

  • Anatomical understanding for key body regions - spine, hips and shoulders and integrating it into yoga practice
  • Understand biomechanics and how muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments work together to produce movement
  • Plan effective yoga sequences around these key body regions, leading up to peak poses
  • Manage and prevent common injuries around shoulders, spine and hips with Guest OsteopathRyan Unsworth
  • Adjustment techniques to help practitioners better execute the postures


*Practitioners should have a consistent yoga practice for the last 6 months.



13-28 August 2022

Saturdays & Sundays only, 9am – 5pm daily


This CET is broken down into 3 weekend sessions of 9am - 5pm with 1-hour lunch break.

Each weekend focuses on a key body region:

  • 13 14 Aug: Spine
  • 20 21 Aug: Hips
  • 2728 Aug: Shoulders


You will participate in:

  • Daily practice focusing on the key body region
  • Anatomy lecture and discussion
  • Sequencing lecture and discussion
  • Injury prevention and management lecture and discussion
  • Hands-on and hands-off adjustment training



Edric Liew

Edric’s approach to yoga is an eclectic fusion of non-dogmatic, science-based physical practices with the spirituality of the ancient art of yoga. He is inspired by Mark Robberds and his incorporating of alternative movement modalities to traditional yoga practice and has attended several of Mark’s month-long immersions in Bali. Edric is also certified as a Functional Range Conditioning Movement specialist and Functional Range Assessment specialist. He believes strongly that people should not take themselves too serious and to always have fun in their practice.


Sheryl Lim

Sheryl believes in crafting purposeful and intelligent classes that help practitioners move mindfully and with precision. Sheryl is fortunate to have studied with world-renowned yoga teachers including Jason Crandell and Noah Maze, who are recognised for teaching alignment-based Vinyasa classes. Sheryl has also achieved certification in Functional Range Conditioning, a joint training system based in science to help develop resilience in joints. Through the different disciplines, she has developed a keen understanding of human anatomy and has integrated up-to-date asana techniques to help practitioners execute yoga postures more mindfully.


Ryan Unsworth (Supporting Educator)

Osteopath, clinical educator, and director of Calibrate HealthRyan has experience as a clinician in England and Singapore, studied at Oxford (UK) as an Osteopath and received the highest distinction in his cohort. He has since set up Calibrate on Orchard and frequently runs workshops for the public and health & fitness professionals. Ryan has been practising yoga for 10 years and has experienced first-hand all the benefits it can bring to the body and mind.
