Finding Strength in Flexibility with Edric Liew
About the Workshop
Finding Strength in Flexibility - a strength and mobility workshop seeking to unlock our movement potential for a safer and more integrated yoga practice.
Mobility refers to the amount of active, usable motion that one possesses. The more mobile a person is, the more they are able to maximise their movement potential safely, efficiently, and effectively.
The objective of this workshop is to help practitioners assess their joint's movement capacity and learn techniques and tips in increasing their movement capacity using the Functional Range Conditioning system. A more integrated practice helps in sustaining joint health and ensuring longevity in the yoga practice.
Edric is a certified Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist and Functional Range Assessment Specialist. He believes strongly in an evidence based scientific approach to traditional yoga practice.
- Self-assessments of joints using CARs (controlled articulate rotations)
- Increasing workspace in joint capsules for healthier joints
- Using a strength based approached to getting more mobility and range of motion in Asanas
- Application of Functional Range mobility techniques in yoga poses
