Overcoming Your Fear in Handstands with Sheryl Lim

About the Workshop 

This workshop is designed for practitioners who are afraid to get into and fall out of ​handstands.


Expect to gain ​greater body awareness, develop better muscular control, and avoid common mistakes getting into and out of handstands.


With over 3 years of experience in teaching inversions, Sheryl ​uses a systematic approach to tackling inversions and hopes to share her knowledge with you. Expect 8 hours of fun learning, experimenting, safely falling and getting up again together with other inversion addicts!

  • Learning the basics of entering and exiting handstands safely and effectively
  • Learning various drills to help improve and hold your handstands


* Pre-requisites: Practitioners should be able to hold plank pose for 1 minute.  


Schedule & Description  

This workshop offers tested and proven techniques to help you get into handstands effectively and out of handstand safely.


Session 1 : Effectively Entering Handstands

4 February 2023 (Saturday) 10am - 2pm


You will learn:

  • Active shoulder stretches and exercises to strengthen and increase mobility in your shoulders
  • Drills to help you kick up and get into handstands
  • Drills to help you find balance in your handstands


Session 2 : Safely Exiting Handstands

5 February 2023 (Sunday) 10am - 2pm


You will learn:

  • Drills to help you get more comfortable with moving your hands while being upside down
  • Techniques to help increase confidence in exiting out of handstands
  • Drills to help increase your balance time
