Sadhana: Accepting What Is with Kay Yuen

Come to revitalise your senses in a 5-day yoga staycation programme for a spiritual experience in an ashram-like environment out on the city's outskirts. Following simple living and high thinking, you'll learn what Yoga is and how to live a yogic lifestyle.

Through asanas, pranayama, meditation, chanting, fasting, yoga philosophy lectures, mindfulness techniques, inner work and other yogic practices, you'll explore ways to accept and embrace change in your everyday lives.

This retreat will give you space, clarity, balance and peace of mind to reconnect with your body, mind and soul. You'll have time to contemplate and reflect on how to live a happier and more meaningful life.

Kay first discovered Yoga in 2001, but it wasn't until 2006 that it became an everyday practice for her. Since then, her studies in this ancient discipline have led her to grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. With the faith that she found in the teachings, Kay decided to leave the corporate world in New York City and dedicated herself to learning Yoga in Asia. During this period, she devoted her time to living in ashrams across India and Southeast Asia, where she furthered her practice and teachings in the different yogic paths and traditions. Her most meaningful realisation on this journey was perhaps the love, patience, forgiveness and compassion that she was able to develop for all living beings. Kay believes that Yoga is a way of life and appreciates that we are all here to walk each other home.

With over 2,000 hours of training and years of teaching, Kay has now dedicated herself to sharing the meditative, devotional and philosophical aspects of Yoga. She guides students to mindfully move inward with breath awareness, whilst reminding them to enjoy each and every moment. Through her healing and inspirational classes, she creates a sacred space for her students to reconnect with their true nature and find the peace, joy and happiness that comes from within. Kay sees herself as an instrument on this Earth to serve, love and give this present of Yoga to all.
